Building Trust Across The Faith Community
In February the Spiritual Living Center took part in a city wide sermon exchange in which clergy from houses of faith from across the city switched pulpits in an effort to build bridges of trust, acceptance and understanding. March 16th at 6pm Crossroads Charlotte and Mecklenburg Ministries will be inviting members from these various houses of faith to come together for a discussion to see where we can go from here in continuing this work. 5:30pm refreshments and 6pm discussion at Park Rd. Baptist Church 3900 Park Rd.

Feeding the homeless, we made over 200 sandwiches in an hour!
Charlotte’s 34th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Revs. Renee’ & Christy along with members of the Spiritual Living Center of Charlotte were among the 1250 plus attendees and over 90 house of faith representatives at this year’s Interfaith Thanksgiving service held at Temple Israel. Join us next year at St. Paul Baptist Church.

Habitat For Humanity Clergy Build! – April 16, 2009

Rev. Renee’ begins her month of sabbatical this Sunday and Rev. Christy will begin her 4 week talk series entitled “The Heart of The Mystic.” Join Rev. Christy as she shares the wisdom of both ancient and modern day mystics and how their messages and practices can assist you in living a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

Habitat For Humanity Clergy Build! – April 16, 2009
Psychologist Dr. Dean Van Leuven founder of the World Emotional Literacy League and author of Life Without Anger presented a two hour Workshop on SUN. MAY 23rd entitled “Relationships Without Anger”. This program was born out of his work in the schools of Nepal with the World Without Anger training program and his book Life Without Anger and numerous other books and workbooks promoting the advancement of emotional health.
