Our Outreach Efforts
Tithing and Global Outreach
We have been pleased to be a part of multiple outreach avenues in the world from assisting with the building of schools in Malawi to tithing to the education of youth at the Holmes Academy in Punjab, India. These are but two of many avenues that we as a Spiritual Community tithe back 10% of our income. Others recipients have included: Heifer International, Circle of Love Gathering, Association for Global New Thought, Mecklenburg Ministries, Spiritual Cinema, Miracle Distribution Network, Outreach Africa, The Threshold Society, Essential Self Ministries, For The One Dance and numerous musicians aligned with our message of peace, love and acceptance. In addition to continuing our efforts via tithing we are currently redifining the ways in which we wish to be a part of our Charlotte community and the world through giving of our time and talents with various types of outreach opportunities for our members to give back to the world. More information is continually being added as we allow the scope of our giving to expand, so continue to visit the website to learn new and exciting ways to help make the world a better place, starting with this beautiful city in which we live.
Local Outreach
We are currently members of Mecklenburg Ministries and we welcome you to join us in our involvement with this bridge building group of various houses of faith that focus on building relationships, acceptance and understanding across ethnic, cultural and religious differences in Mecklenburg county. Operation Sandwich 2010
To learn ways in which you can volunteer in support of Homelessness to Housing projects and other endeavors that assist in improving the lives of our homeless brothers and sisters email Lindalee at lindalee@carolina.rr.com and indicate that you are interested in this area of service. Some of the opportunities include volunteering for Project HOPE, Crisis Assistance & Urban Ministries
Outreach Within Our Congregation
Community Angels provides congregational support to those within our congregation that are in need of a helping hand. The services range from hospital patient visits, to in home assistance and most recently the addition of coming to assist in the everyday tasks that can sometimes feel overwhelming such as moving or looking for a new vehicle. We are adding this new type of networking as an in house service that we can provide to one another which in turn provides each of us with the opportunity to get to know one another better and give of our time in a loving and supportive way. Email us if you have a situation that you would like support around and we will post it on the news page of the website as well as in our online newsletters, letting people know of the different ways available to participate in being in service to one another.
